ERICA MIRICH, M.Ed

For most of my career, I have helped people navigate change.

For more than twenty-five years, my work has centered on helping people find clarity. I earned my Master's in Education from Harvard University, began my career as a teacher, and later built a consulting practice helping organizations navigate growth, change, and complex decisions. Whether I was working with students, nonprofit leaders, philanthropists, or community changemakers, the work was remarkably similar: asking good questions, listening carefully, and helping people move forward with greater confidence and purpose.

Along the way, life provided its own education.

I've navigated career transitions, divorce, grief, parenting, and the sometimes uncomfortable process of realizing that a life that once fit no longer does. Those experiences didn't make me an expert on your life, but they did teach me that most people already know more than they think they do. They simply need the time, perspective, and support to hear themselves clearly.

Meaningful change rarely comes from having all the answers.

It comes from asking better questions.

Those experiences reinforced something I had learned years earlier as a teacher: meaningful progress rarely comes from having the perfect plan. It comes from developing a deeper understanding of yourself and making thoughtful decisions based on that understanding.

The people who find their way to me are often accomplished, thoughtful, and standing at a crossroads. They're looking for someone who can challenge their thinking, offer perspective, and help them sort through the noise. Someone who can sit with the big questions without rushing to easy answers.

That's the work. And I love it.

I live in Reno, Nevada, with my husband, our boys, and our dog, Bear. When I'm not working, you'll usually find me skiing, hiking, traveling, or watching more soccer than I ever imagined possible.

Much of my professional life is spent helping organizations navigate growth, change, and important decisions.

As the founder and principal of PIVOT Strategic Advisors, I work with nonprofit organizations, philanthropists, foundations, and mission-driven leaders on strategy, leadership, communications, and organizational development.

The work I do with individuals is different in scope, but similar in spirit.

Whether I'm working with an organization or a person,

the questions are often remarkably alike:

Where are we now?

What matters most?

What's getting in the way?

What comes next?

In both practices, my role is to help clarify complexity and support thoughtful decisions about the future.

If you're looking for organizational consulting, strategic planning, philanthropy advising, or leadership development, I'd love to introduce you to the work we do at PIVOT Strategic Advisors.
